I graduated in Law (LLB) from the University of Manchester, receiving the Damien Bourke and R. G. Lawson Prizes.
I went into legal recruitment not long after graduation and spent five years with one of the UK’s largest legal recruitment businesses, during which time I recruited across a range of legal practice areas, from immigration to real estate, for a variety of law firms, right from high street practices through to specialist boutiques and major international firms.
I co-founded specialist legal recruitment consultancy, Realm Recruit, in 2015. At Realm, we pride ourselves on our refreshing approach to legal recruitment and we believe in treating lawyers like people, not candidates.
Throughout the decade that I’ve worked in legal recruitment, I’ve been involved in hundreds of career moves, from paralegal through to partner level. I’ve also given talks on many occasions to organisations like the Manchester Trainee Solicitor’s Group, helped many individual secure new roles through pro bono coaching, and had my views on employee attraction, retention and engagement published in the national press.
